TIMES² ACADEMY CALL FOR JUDGES

Times² Academy High School will hold its Science Fair on February 4, 2010. This year’s fair will involve over 100 projects. We are asking for your help. If you are able to spend from 3:30 – 6:00 PM, we would love for you to be a judge. The process will start with a thorough orientation. You will be instructed how to evaluate and score the projects as well as how to conduct an in-depth interview. You will then judge 6-8 projects and report your results anonymously.

You need not have an expertise in science or engineering. Most of the projects are fairly straightforward. We are anticipating a variety of judges, including college students, professors, high school teachers, board members and members of the community. I am including the schedule for the evening’s events. While you are welcome to participate in the entire evening, Judges would only be required to stay from 3:30-6:00. We will be grateful for any help you can give. Feel free to invite as many judges as you can.

4-6 Judging

6-7 Free

7-8 Public viewing and social hour. Students will have an assignment to complete.

8:00 Announcement of 10 students who will represent Times² Academy at the RI Science and Engineering Fair on March 27 & 28, 2010
