We hope everybody had a nice vacation! Great things are happening in third grade.  Mr. Ricci and Mrs. Defusco are beginning research on dinosaurs. They will use the research to create books. They will be using the “If you lived” series as touchstone texts.

Mr. Ricci and Ms. Nunez are finishing up Paul Goble author study and continuing their exploration into the world of Native Americans. Mrs. Defusco is beginning Paul Goble author study and continuing the Native American study. In reading her students have been working hard on identifying and reading multi syllabic words.

Ms. Nunez is working on graphic organizers with her class and reading comprehension strategies in her guided reading groups. In writing they are wrapping up with informational writing.  

Parents please make sure children are dressing warm and reading every night for homework.
